Layla's Adventure Continued. . .

After dinner left Layla wandered into the bathroom to run her bath. She took off her slippers and grabbed her towel.

She made sure the water was nice and warm and locked the door. "I can't wait to see the Buddha tomorrow!" She said. She got undressed and stepped into the bath.

"Ahhhhh" she sighed. The water was nice and warm and tickled her muscles. A wave of tiredness washed over her.

She dried off. Then she reached for her pyjamas and got changed.

The she brushed her hair. " I hate brushing my hair!" She grumbled. "UHHHHHH!" Once she had finished tugging at all the knots she reached for her toothbrush and paste.

She cleaned her teeth carefully making sure she got every tooth. When she finished she spat into the sink and dried her mouth.

Then she walked into her bedroom and climbed up to her tree house bed. She grabbed her book Squirrel Nutkin and got stuck in.

Layla loved reading but tonight she somehow couldn't get her brain to concentrate. When she finally did she lost track of the time.

"Oh god, It is 9:00, I better to get to bed!" She exclaimed, putting her book away.

Just as she lay in bed her phone pinged. "I wonder who's texting at a time like this?" She thought. The text was from Siobhan.

Siobhan: Sorry to bother u guys, but I just quickly wanted to say I am free tomoz so u can come over at 12. p.s we won our game!

Replies came through automatically. "Why is everyone up this late?" She though as she replies to Siobhan's text.

Layla: Sorry Siobhan. I would love to but I am busy. :)

She turned her tablet on silent and switched off the light.

Sweet dreams Layla!

Why Nature is Important

Hi it is Dana, I am sorry for not posting on this blog in ages! It was a nice surprise to come back to see it with a new template (to be honest I was quite sick of the last one). Anyway, I will get to the point of this post eventually... today's topic is NATURE! I absolutely looooooove nature. It is amazing and I often contemplate the idea of a world without nature and am determined to enjoy and protect it. I will share some photos of my favourite things in nature...

One of my favourite things in nature is  animals. I love animals and I especially love my two dogs, Ching-Ching, Patchy and my cat Snowy.

Another of my favourite things about nature is water such as rivers, creeks, damns and of course the seaside. I took this photo when I was walking along our local creek with Emily.

My other favourite part of nature is plants, trees and flowers. This is a purple flower which I don't know the name of sadly, I took this photo when I was at a national park. I hope you enjoyed reading my post about nature. I would love to know about what nature you like, so comment down below.

Siobhan's Diary

Dear Diary,

It is good to be back!👍 Everything is great! Well almost everything... apart from Layla. She seems to be not wanting to spend time with us anymore. I mean I get the fact that she has her running to train for but she does that ALL the time and doesn't put her friends first. Kelsey and I decided if she didn't want to spend time with us then we would stop inviting her to things. So we didn't and the day we were going to go skating she asked us over. We both said we were busy. Then I did something soooooo stupid and now I think I have lost one of my best friends. I posted a selfie of Kelsey and I there at the skating place on Instagram and Layla obviously saw it because she wouldn't talk to us. I think she was also mad about us wearing the same shoes. How do I make it up to her?

Kelsey's Diary

Dear Diary,

I am back and blogging again. A couple of days ago I went skating with Siobhan. Layla wasn't there because she kind of doesn't spend time with us anymore. On the day we were going to go skating, Layla asked us over! Could she be anymore inconvenient? Probably not, anyway we told her we were busy and then set off. We were having a great time and Siobhan posted us on Instagram. But now Layla has a bee in her bonnet about something, I don't actually know what and I wish I could find out because I don't want to lose her as a friend. I will send her a message. Anyway bye bye for now.

Layla's Diary

Dear Diary,

I am finally back on this blog. I am sorry but I have been very busy with running and school, LOL just joking, I've been on a school holiday. 😜😃 Anyway yesterday I noticed something that I feel upset about! 😢 My two friends are Siobhan and Kelsey and we are the best friends in the whole world. Unfortunately they have started to ignore me and they are doing things like wearing the same shoes and same kind of outfits. When I asked them over the other day they both said they were busy. But Siobhan posted a photo of them at the skating rink on Instagram. I don't understand why they are treating me like that. What have I ever done to them?😭😿

Emily's Favourite Book

Hi, it's Emily, you might be wondering what my favourite book is? Well my all time favourite book is Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. It is such a good book because there are some interesting twists to it (especially at the end). The start draws you in and you just want to read more and you can't put the book down (well that happens to me with a lot of books). I like how J.K. Rowling depicts all of her characters differently and they all contribute to the story in a way. The book definitely would not be the same without them. I recommend this book to all readers from the age of 10 and upwards because of some tricky vocabulary and the complex content. I think J.K. Rowling is a terrific author because of how good her imagery is.
